Conor McGregor Drops Major Tease That Fedor Emelianenko is Joining BKFC

Conor McGregor, part owner of Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), has become one of the organization's most vocal supporters. Frequently attending fights and press conferences, McGregor actively promotes the growth of BKFC.

During the recent BKFC Italy press conference, McGregor made some significant announcements. He revealed plans to compete in BKFC soon and hinted that MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko might be joining the organization. When asked about Emelianenko potentially coming out of retirement, McGregor responded, "We might have an announcement with Fedor Emelianenko. Hey Fedor, we're waiting," sparking excitement among fans.

Known as "The Last Emperor," Emelianenko is one of the most iconic figures in MMA history. The Russian knockout artist rose to fame in the PRIDE organization before competing in M-1 Global, Strikeforce, RIZIN, and Bellator. Despite his illustrious career, he never fought in the UFC, leaving fans wondering what could have been. Throughout his career, Emelianenko faced elite heavyweights like Mark Coleman, Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Hunt, Andrei Arlovski, Fabricio Werdum, and Dan Henderson.

After his last fight nearly two years ago, many believed Emelianenko had retired for good. However, McGregor and BKFC appear to be courting the legendary fighter, potentially setting the stage for his return.

BKFC has rapidly gained popularity by attracting high-profile fighters from the UFC and other organizations. The current heavyweight champion, Ben Rothwell, has been dominant in the sport, and a potential matchup between Rothwell and Emelianenko would be a must-see heavyweight clash.

Emelianenko holds an impressive record of 40-7-1, with 16 finishes, 15 submissions, and nine decision wins. Renowned for his striking power, joining the brutal world of BKFC could reignite his career. McGregor's hints have certainly heightened anticipation, and fans are eager to see if "The Last Emperor" will indeed step into the BKFC ring.
